Abide Ministry & Church was started in 2014 by Jerry Stahl, under the Common Ground 501(c)(3).  This ministry began to help love the people in the Goofy Ridge, IL community.  The goal of the ministry is to "Help the Physical but Heal the Spiritual”.  This is only possible through the grace of God, love of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit.  Cole Bernhardt is the current pastor of the Abide church but there are many local churches and sacrificial individuals who come alongside him to make this ministry possible.

Meals are provided multiple times a week to help make connections.  There is a Sunday night service, a Tuesday night service, a Thursday afternoon cookout at the church in the warmer months, and a Friday lunch cookout at a local residence in the warmer months.

 

The church also meets needs by offering the use of their 2 showers, a washer & dryer, small food pantry & box, clothing closet, and a free access spigot for water.​​​​
